Philadelphia Wedding

Elliot and I spent the weekend in Philly for Shaheen's wedding. We got in just in time to attend the Sangeet on Friday night; there was lots of Indian dancing and plenty of delicious food, though Weight Watchers was thrown out the window.

Saturday we had lunch with Debra at the deli (not in the family anymore, but still delicious) and got to see her new house! There's a lot of work to be done on it, so she's not living there yet, but it looks wonderful and will be a great place for her and Avi to live. That afternoon, Elliot and I went to Haverford and walked around. Neither of us had been back in ages, and it was fun to stroll about and reminisce.

Saturday night was the wedding - ceremony and reception at The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr. Shaheen was radiant in a traditional Indian wedding dress (a deep red with gold jewels all over it) and the whole night was a lot of fun. Elliot and I reconnected with some people we haven't seen in a while and got to meet friends of Shaheen's that we've heard a lot about over the years.

We drove home today and are almost ready for the week to begin...
